Get Apple SuperDrive to work on Windows PC

Surprisingly, there aren’t any PC nowadays that come with DVD drives.

Recently I learned a trick that successfully revived my DVD drive purchased back in 2013. It is an Apple USB SuperDrive, and after a few steps (below) it could be plugged in a Windows PC and is well functioning.

Steps:

1. Go to https://osxdaily.com/2018/02/25/use-apple-superdrive-windows/
2. Download “Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5722” (or newer)
3. Unzip the compressed file
4. Go to BootCamp\Drivers\Apple
5. Double click on AppleODDInstaller64.exe.
